Phase 4: University Hunt

Finding The Right University

Rather than reading admission pages one university at a time, start from your own numbers and let the search narrow the list for you. This is the same matcher as the public search page, running here so you can stay in the guide.

How it decides what you qualify for

  • Your CGPA becomes a German grade. Enter your CGPA and the locked field beside it converts to the German 1.0โ€“4.0 scale using the Modified Bavarian Formula. Remember the scale is inverted: a lower German grade is better, and you qualify when a programme's cut-off is numerically greater than or equal to your grade.
  • Credit hours become ECTS. German programmes state entry requirements in ECTS; your transcript is in credit hours. Enter the credit hours and the conversion is done for you.
  • Blank means "don't check this". Every field is optional. Leave one empty and that requirement simply is not tested โ€” the form tells you when a check was skipped rather than silently passing you.
  • Every programme is shown, with a verdict. Each result is marked Good match (you meet every requirement), Weak match (you miss one only narrowly, e.g. your German grade is within 0.3 of the cut-off) or Not possible (you clearly miss a requirement), with the reason spelled out.
  • Nothing is hidden from you. Press Find programmes with the form untouched and you get the full list, so you can browse before you filter.

What to do with the results

  • Click a programme name to see its full admission requirements โ€” grade cut-off, ECTS minimums, English proof, GMAT/GRE, and the application portal.
  • Use Download CSV to keep your shortlist; the file matches exactly what is on screen, filters included.
  • Widen one filter at a time when nothing matches. Course of study and institution type usually cut the list hardest.
